  2017 Rival Lacrosse Fall Instructional  League is Now Open!

We are excited to open 2017 Spring registration for Rival Lacrosse.  Rival Lacrosse is the largest recreational lacrosse program in the southeast.

Rival Fall Instructional League is an 8 Week camp/clinic style format and is open for boys 1-8.  It is a great time to introduce newcomers to the game or hone the skills of returning players.  Players are divided by age, grade and skill level and will receive individual instruction in all aspects of the game.  Sessions are held on Sundays and progress through basic stick and footwork fundamentals and move into team/game play.

For the training sessions and each player will be required to have the following equipment:

Lacrosse Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Arm Pads, Lacrosse Gloves, Stick and a mouthpiece

Dates -Saturdays September 9- October 28, 2017

Time 9am-11am 




Site Director - Ryan Cummings

A native of Syracuse, NY, Ryan joined Fusion lacrosse when he moved to the Triangle area in 2005. Ryan began his collegiate career at Johns Hopkins University and then transferred to Syracuse University.  As a sophomore, he was a starting defensive midfielder of the 1995 National Championship team and member of the Orange's 1996 and 1997 Final Four teams.  In 1999, Ryan served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Carolina while pursuing a M.Ed. in School Counseling.   

Ryan has additional coaching experience as an assistant coach at Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY) and Panther Creek High School. He also served as head coach at Middle Creek High School in Apex, NC. 

Ryan is currently a school counselor at Wakefield High School and assistant lacrosse coach at Wakefield High School in Raleigh, NC.  Ryan resides in Raleigh, NC, and is married to his wife Lisa.
